ABOUT DJ BASS

What's up party animals!  My name is Angelo Bartoli, also known as DJ BASS.  First, I would like to personally thank all of you who allowed me to make my dream come true. Your ongoing support and encouragement gives me the power to fuel my passion...music!

So here's a little run-down on the path that lead me up to this point.

My Family
Without them, I'm nothing!  I was lucky in a sense of having parents that love music.  My dad is a drummer and my mon played the accordion.  Almost all the members of my family play some kind of instrument.  I found my dad's drumsticks at around the age of 5, and that`s when I turned my mom's black leather couch into Swiss cheese!  Pissed, she and my dad got me a set of drums...I was hooked!

The Build-up
Having a passion to keep the beat going on the drums, I began attending night clubs by the age of 16. Although not legally, who hasn’t been tempted to show a fake ID to the doorman and gain access to the club. My very first club attendance was none other than Club Dome. Now closed, MC MARIO was the DJ back then. Instead of partying and drinking with my friends on the dance floor, I would find myself standing at the DJ booth, watching MC MARIO spin track after track…that's all it took for me to become obsessed with mixing. Although the true nature of the name “DJ BASS” arouse from that night, suffice it to say that I loved the feeling of bass pounding from a House track. The very next day, I headed to the store and bought two turntables and a mixer…the beginning of what is to become one of my greatest passions of all time.

At the age of 17, one year after I began to DJ, I was hired to work along side of DJ WIZZ and DJ SLIM at a local Palladium in Delson. DJ WIZZ, now a well known DJ in the rave industry, coached me to further develop my talents. Soon after...I was on my way, making appearance in night clubs in Montreal and making the crowds go crazy!

After several years, in 2001, I hooked up with Dynamic Entertainment. Taking a break from night clubs, I wanted to diversify my musical knowledge as a DJ, so I began spinning for all sorts of events ranging from weddings to graduations. Under the wing of Dynamic Entertainment, I became well known in the public and was in demand by all kinds of people for any and all events.

In 2005, I attended Trebas Institute to further expand my knowledge of Audio Engineering.

In summer of 2008, I began mixing live on air with my very own radio show called The Beat on 100.1FM and formed my very own production company, DJ BASS Productions.

The Launch
In 2010, I got “club fever” and wanted to return to the club scene in Montreal. I reunited with my long-time high-school friend Actor/TV Host Adam Reid and started hosting parties at Light Ultra Club. My return debut was on April 24th hosting with Adam Reid and Luca Passarelli. Although not on the turntables, me and several fans came out to celebrate my official return to the club scene.

On May 22nd 2010, I was scheduled to spin live on Virgin Radio 96 at Light Ultra Club along side of DJ SUPERFLY..."House Music Sounds Better With You"  This INSANE party can be seen in my video section...nothing could of prepared me for that event...WHAT A NIGHT!!!

From that moment on…I spun at multiple night clubs in Montreal such as;

 -LIGHT ULTRACLUB
 -SUCO LOUNGE
 -GASBAR LOUNGE
 -CLUB IMPERIAL ROOM
 -IVY NIGHT CLUB

...making every Montreal party animal go crazy on the dance floor!

So I ask you Montreal...can you feel the BASS!!!
